Job summary

GuidePoint Security is seeking an Azure Security Engineer to design, implement, and secure Azure environments across Commercial and Gov clouds. The role is remote within the United States and involves customer-facing work assessing cloud security postures and deploying secure configurations.

You will implement IaC, manage security policies, and collaborate with clients to align a secure hybrid cloud strategy. Strong Azure security expertise and certifications are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years building or managing cloud environments
• Azure security engineering experience or equivalent in a customer-facing role
• Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies and security patterns
• SME-level proficiency in Azure AI Foundry, APIM and related platforms
• Experience with Terraform and ARM templates for IaC
• Proven ability to design secure, scalable Azure environments

Responsibilities

• Design Azure cloud solutions with a secure-by-design approach
• Collaborate with customer IT teams to implement and secure cloud resources
• Develop scalable and resilient Azure architectures for commercial or Gov cloud
• Create migration plans for on-prem environments to Azure
• Secure Microsoft Entra ID and associated services
• Develop IaC using Terraform, ARM, or Bicep and PowerShell
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery alignments
• Implement monitoring/alerting across Azure environments
• Evaluate Azure services based on requirements and best practices
• Collaborate with developers and admins to integrate Azure solutions
• Maintain interoperability between on‑prem and cloud
• Implement and enforce security controls for AI workloads
• Define and maintain Azure governance policies and cost controls
• Lead trainings and document customer deliverables
