Job summary

Portage Learning is seeking a Subject Matter Expert to author eight microeconomics modules for an online, asynchronous course. You will develop full lesson content, aligned assessments, and collaborate with our Instructional Design team to build a standards-aligned course.

The SME may also teach the course on camera. Requirements include a Masters or higher in economics or related field, proven teaching experience in introductory economics, and strong academic writing skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in economics, business administration or related field required.
• Demonstrated experience teaching economics at introductory/novice level (college or adult learners preferred).
• Strong academic writing skills in English; ability to write engaging asynchronous lessons.

Responsibilities

• Curate/write full lesson content for 8 asynchronous modules aligned to learning objectives.
• Create assessments and 6-version question banks for each module.
• Collaborate with Instructional Design, Production, Accessibility, and Editorial teams through iterative reviews.
