Portage Learning is seeking a Microbiology Lab Course Author and Subject Matter Expert (SME) to review and revise module content, create new laboratory experiences, and build aligned assessments for a fully online, asynchronous 200-level Microbiology with Lab course.

The SME will collaborate with instructional design and production teams to deliver standards-aligned content, including lecture slides and lab exams.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree or higher in biology or related field.
• Experience teaching economics at intro/novice level is preferred.
• Strong academic writing skills in English for asynchronous lessons.
• Experience creating assessments aligned to learning outcomes.
• Comfort with OER and adapting existing texts.

Aufgaben

• Review and revise modules for 6 asynchronous modules.
• Develop new asynchronous lab experiences aligned to learning outcomes.
• Create aligned assessments and draft lecture slides.
• Collaborate with Instructional Design, Production, Accessibility and Editorial teams.
• Prepare final written module scripts/content and lab assignments.
• Perform revisions based on internal feedback and meet deadlines.
• Handle additional duties as assigned.
