Job summary

IT Associates seeks a Micro Focus Enterprise Server Administrator to manage, configure, and optimize mainframe rehosting environments (COBOL, CICS, IMS) on Windows/Linux/Cloud. You will apply updates, configure regions, troubleshoot, and ensure performance.

Required 5+ years in Micro Focus product administration, familiarity with Windows and Linux, and ITIL processes. Remote work offered with potential for permanent placement and benefits after initial period.

Qualifications

.5+ years of experience in system administration, specifically with Micro Focus products.
Knowledge of Micro Focus Enterprise Server, COBOL, CICS, and IMS is highly valued.
Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems.
Understanding of ITIL incident/change/problem management.

Responsibilities

Administration & Configuration: Manage Enterprise Server regions, including configuration changes, user management, and security settings.
Environment Upgrades: Apply major releases, updates, and hotfixes to Micro Focus Enterprise Server and Enterprise Developer software.
Troubleshooting & Support: Use diagnostic tools to resolve issues, including interaction with Micro Focus Support line.
Job Management: Maintain application software, including loadlib, JCL, and control cards.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance using tools like Windows Perfmon or SCOM.
Documentation: Maintain system logs and documentation.
