Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Lead Mainframe CICS Systems Programmer/Engineer, a senior role within Enterprise Technology & Services. The candidate will manage CICS engineering, tuning, and operational support in a large, distributed mainframe environment.

Strong collaboration with developers and operations is required, with on-call duties as needed. The role emphasizes performance analysis, CICSPlex configuration, and experience with Cobol/REXX, Cobol support for developers, and mainframe tooling

Qualifications

• Experience with CICS in a 24x7 Sysplex CICSPlex environment.
• Knowledge of SMP/E, software upgrades and maintenance.
• Knowledge of CICS parameters that control performance in CICSPlex.
• Experience with CICSPlex SM implementation & customization.
• Knowledge of CICS resource definitions and SMF for tuning.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of CICS engineering and system/software maintenance.
• Interface with application developers and operations teams.
• Provide on-call support outside normal working hours to resolve issues.
