As a Merchant Risk Analyst, you will assess financial and non-financial risk associated with merchants, working with cross-functional partners to evaluate brand, reputational, legal and compliance risk.

The ideal candidate has e-commerce underwriting or commercial lending exposure, and can assess merchant risk using third-party data,

Qualifications

• Experience assessing merchant risk in e-commerce, lending, or payments.
• Ability to review financial documents and credit reports.
• Strong ownership mentality and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assess brand, compliance, fraud and financial risk for merchants.
• Utilize business credit reports, financial documents and market data for risk analysis.
• Investigate new data sources to assess merchant financial risk.
• Monitor credit, fraud and dispute/chargeback trends by merchants.
• Provide guidance to automate and improve merchant risk evaluation processes.
