Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks an experienced MEP Estimator in the Dallas area to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Electrical, Technology, and LV systems from concept through construction documents.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 5 years of estimating experience in MEP trades, strong collaboration with vendors and trade partners, and proficient use of estimator tools and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of related Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Electrical, Technology, and Low Voltage system estimating experience or equivalent.
• Ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, specs, and scopes of work for cost analysis.
• Ability to collaborate with vendors, trade partners and project team members.
• Proficient written and verbal communication; ability to present with confidence.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to adapt to new technology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Electrical, Technology, and LV systems based on designs and specs.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, analyses, estimates, and studies from conceptual design through construction documents.
• Develop relationships with suppliers and vendors to obtain current pricing.
• Coordinate with trade partners to build a list of qualified bidders.
• Conduct constructability analysis and communicate issues to the project team.
• Assist in preparing proposals for different contract types (lump sum, GMP, Cost Plus).
