Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced MEP Estimator in the United States to prepare detailed estimates for Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Electrical, Technology, and LV systems from design through construction documents.

The role involves coordinating with Turner staff, architects, engineers, and owners, developing bid proposals, and guiding the preconstruction process to deliver accurate first costs and value analyses for complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or related field.
• 3+ years of related MEP estimating experience or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, technology and LV systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for MEP trades from design through construction documents.
• Communicate estimates and scopes to Turner staff, architects, engineers and owners.
• Develop quantity take-offs, analyses, and studies for MEP systems.
• Develop relationships with suppliers and trade partners for pricing.
• Perform constructability analysis and provide first costs.
• Coordinate equipment pricing and value analysis with project team.
• Prepare and assemble bids for various contract types.
• Participate in estimate reviews and project hand-offs.
