Job summary

The University of Alabama is seeking a Research Project Coordinator to support the Mental Health Awareness and Literacy Training project across Alabama. You will assist with project design, management, and implementation, serving as liaison among internal and external contacts and helping develop training materials.

Responsibilities include coordinating activities, maintaining records, preparing annual reports, and ensuring data collection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and experience coordinating projects.
• Must have valid U.S. driver's license and be at least 19 years old.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational skills and public speaking ability.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s + 2 years or Master’s + health-related field; Mental Health First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all project-related activities and assist Project Manager/Director.
• Develop and deliver mental health awareness training and health promotion programming.
• Keep records and write annual reports for funders; ensure data collection.
• Oversee security of all records and manage website content for VitAL project.
• Organize meetings, record minutes, monitor timelines and reports, handle day-to-day office tasks.
