Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree required in relevant field (Social Work / MFT / Psychology).
• Current and valid state licensure as LMHC/LPC/LCSW required.
• Passing score on NCE and/or NCMHCE required.
• Proven experience as a mental health counselor with psychotherapeutic techniques.
• Proficiency in using AVATAR EHR to document client records.
• Familiarity with AMHCA best practices enhances therapy delivery.
• Understanding psychosocial impacts of medications as part of treatment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough preliminary assessments and document sessions from intake to discharge.
• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health using evidence-based practices.
• Develop and implement personalized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Lead engaging individual and group therapy sessions in a remote setting.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment based on ongoing assessments and feedback.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers to coordinate care.
• Follow up with other healthcare providers for clients needing hospitalization.
• Identify barriers to recovery and apply proactive strategies to support progress.
• Support families and caregivers with guidance on managing mental health challenges.
