Job summary

NC Local is building a new statewide audience and membership program from the ground up. You will drive awareness, growth, and engagement for our journalism and regional newsletters while shaping the brand and outreach across North Carolina.

As a remote, full-time role, you’ll design the member experience, manage campaigns, and partner with editorial and development teams to reach ambitious revenue targets and sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Experience building or substantially growing a membership, subscription or giving program.
• Ability to craft messaging and appeals that draw donor support.
• Data-driven approach: use CRM analytics to segment audiences and tailor campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Drive awareness of NC Local across the state and grow our audience and memberships.
• Define and lead the end-to-end membership program, including tiers and benefits.
• Grow newsletter subscribers and convert readers to known contacts and donors.
• Manage individual giving campaigns and year-end fundraising efforts.
• Collaborate with newsroom and development teams to align marketing and content.
