Job summary

Qualifications

• Obtains prior authorization and documents referrals for medications using third-party payer criteria.
• Conducts research and follow-up within established timeframes; keeps current on payer authorization requirements.

• Communicates with the care team to provide details on authorization status.
• Maintains knowledge of patient assistance programs and eligibility requirements.
• Identifies appropriate medication assistance programs based on affordability discussions with patients.
• Ensures completion of necessary signatures for enrollment in assistance programs.
• Floats from areas of low workload to areas of heavy workload to support patient services.
• Adheres to organization policies and procedures and fulfills job-specific obligations.
