Mountain Family Health Centers in Colorado seeks a PRN Prior Authorization Assistant to coordinate timely approvals for high-cost medications. The role supports the medication access team, trains providers on PA workflows, and covers refill Assistants during absences.

Remote work is allowed within the United States, with exceptions for some travel and scheduling needs. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year in a healthcare-related role, and current pharmacy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in a medical office, pharmacy, PA, or related healthcare role.
• Current pharmacy technician certification or registration, if applicable to duties and jurisdiction.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate timely prior authorization approvals for high-cost medications.
• Educate providers and nursing staff on documentation and workflow to expedite payer decisions.
• Provide coverage for medication refill Assistants during absences or turnover.
• Apply the organization’s medication refill guideline algorithm within the assistant's authorized scope.
