Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America, Inc. is seeking an Associate Director, Medical Strategy (Prostate Cancer) to lead medical and scientific strategy for prostate cancer programs.

You will partner with the Medical Affairs Director and TA Lead to align external engagement, publication plans, and data generation with brand priorities. In this role you will drive cross-functional collaboration with US Field Medical, Medical Communications, and HEOR teams, oversee budget and publication plans, and participate

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in scientific or healthcare field required; oncology experience preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in pharma/biotech or life sciences.
• Medical Affairs experience required; oncology exposure preferred.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and external scientific experts in a compliant, regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as medical director for assigned prostate cancer projects, providing medical and scientific leadership.
• Develop Medical Affairs strategic plans aligned with brand imperatives and external input.
• Coordinate with external alliance partners for medical activities.
• Provide medical input into development of Medical Affairs plans and platforms.
• Collaborate with US Field Medical, Medical Communications & Operations, RWE & HEOR, and ex-US colleagues.
• Support education channels: publications, presentations, congresses, advisory boards and symposia.
• Contribute to development of scientific publication plans and engagement with key opinion leaders.
• Attend conferences to support speakers, goals, and competitive intelligence reporting.
• Support investigator-initiated and collaborative research programs.
