Job summary

Grifols in California seeks a Medical Science Liaison to cover the West region. This remote, field‑based role focuses on building relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, translating complex data into clinical insights, and collaborating with Medical Affairs and internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will hold an advanced science degree (PharmD/MD/PhD or equivalent) and have at least two years in clinical practice, academia, or pharma, with strong communication and travel readiness.

Qualifications

• West territory residency including CA, NV, UT, OR, WA, ID, MT, TX, NM, AZ and WY.
• Minimum two years of related experience in clinical practice, academia, or the pharmaceutical industry.
• Advanced scientific degree (PharmD/MD/PhD) or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and compliance with Grifols Fleet Program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identify and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders through scientific exchange.
• Engage in one-on-one scientific discussions with therapy area experts.
• Disseminate new data to inform physicians about alpha‑1 antitrypsin deficiency.
• Maintain knowledge of literature, guidelines, and standards in the territory.
• Serve as scientific resource to academic physicians and key accounts.
• Act as research liaison for investigators of investigator‑initiated protocols.
• Strengthen cross‑functional collaboration via congresses, advisory boards, and trials.
• Conduct formal scientific presentations upon request.
• Represent Grifols Medical Affairs and communicate priorities and research interests.
• Adhere to policies, regulations, and high ethical standards.
