Job summary

The Chicago School is seeking a part-time Academic Tutor to support IllinoisCOM students remotely. You will provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring across courses based on your expertise, meeting virtually with students 2–10 hours weekly.

You will report to the Associate Dean for Student Affairs and not complete graded work. Sessions are online, and applicants should have reliable internet and a private space.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and in good standing as a 2nd–4th year MD/DO medical student.
• Demonstrated proficiency in each course or subject area to tutor.
• Maintain good academic and professional standing throughout employment.
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and facilitate individual or group tutoring sessions.
• Document tutoring attendance and services using the designated system.
• Protect confidentiality of examinations and student information.
• Adapt tutoring to address different learning needs and styles.
• Refer students to campus resources when appropriate.
• Participate in professional development to improve tutoring skills.
