What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Develop and maintain hospital schedules based on workload demands and ensure timely publication in scheduling software
  • Communicate with clinicians to address scheduling needs, manage call-offs, and handle emergency openings
  • Support Medical Directors with site-specific scheduling needs, including orientation and shadowing arrangements for new providers
  • Track clinician hours, prepare reports, and collaborate with payroll for accurate processing
  • Monitor performance metrics and assist management with staffing and scheduling performance reports

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • H.S. Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in scheduling, operations, or healthcare administration required
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of Physician and Advanced Practice Provider scheduling experience preferred
