Job summary

Koniag Advisory Business Solutions, LLC is seeking a Medical Records Technician – Coder III to support IHS operations remotely. The role requires accurate coding of outpatient encounters and backlog reduction while maintaining coding currency.

Strong communication, independence, and time management are essential for success in a fully remote environment. Candidates should have 3+ years of outpatient coding experience, current CCS/CCS-P/CPC/COC/RHIT/RHIA credentials, and proficiency with RPMS and

Qualifications

• Three years of production outpatient/ambulatory coding experience.
• Experience with IHS, RPMS and PCC.
• Knowledge of IHS AIR reimbursement requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation and code outpatient/ambulatory encounters.
• Abstract coded data into RPMS and PCC.
• Apply ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS guidelines.
• Identify AIR and other claims nearing filing deadlines.
• Review records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Communicate with providers to obtain clarification.
• Support coding audits and reimbursement analyses.
• Maintain coding statistics and deficiency reports.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff remotely.
