Job summary

Koniag Advisory Business Solutions seeks a Medical Records Coder V (Supervisor) to lead a coding team in a large healthcare mission serving hospitals and clinics. This senior role oversees the Coder IV Lead and Coder III staff, ensuring accurate coding, audits, and compliance for reimbursement.

Hybrid position based in Oklahoma City; on-site for onboarding, with potential telework. Candidates need strong leadership, coding expertise, and a drive for quality and integrity in high-volume

Qualifications

• 8+ years progressive coding/HIM experience or 5+ with a relevant degree.
• Current CCS, CPC, RHIA, RHIT or equivalent certification required.
• Supervisory or lead experience in coding environments.
• Expert ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, and reimbursement knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of AHIMA, Medicare, Medicaid and payer rules.
• Proficiency with EHR/encoder tools and coding workflows.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise coding staff and manage workload prioritization.
• Review productivity, quality, and timeliness against standards.
• Provide coaching, onboarding, and performance feedback.
• Lead coding audits, documentation reviews, and denial analysis.
• Support policy development and education across teams.
