HireHawk Inc. is hiring for a remote Medical Records & Billing Retrieval Specialist to support a personal injury pre-litigation team. You will own the retrieval of 80–100+ active matters, ensuring accurate documentation, timely follow-ups, and clear visibility for attorneys and case managers.

Approximately 70–80% of time focuses on obtaining and verifying medical records and bills, with HIPAA authorizations and provider forms. Strong English and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifikationen

• U.S. personal injury experience with retrieval of medical records and bills.
• Experience preparing HIPAA authorizations and provider-specific request forms.
• Experience managing a high-volume workload across 80–100+ active matters.
• Clear spoken and written English.

Aufgaben

• Own the medical records and billing retrieval process from initial request through follow-up, receipt, verification, upload, and team notification.
• Obtain complete records and bills from hospitals, physicians, clinics, imaging centers, EMS, specialists, chiropractors, and other providers.
• Prepare HIPAA authorizations and provider-specific forms to reduce delays.
• Keep requests moving with weekly or more frequent follow-ups and track turnaround times.
• Maintain a tracking system for pending requests, deadlines, and missing documents across active matters.
• Verify records/bills align, correct dates/demographics, and address discrepancies.
• Organize, label, and upload records into Filevine and notify the team of arrivals or gaps.
• Support attorneys with insurance claim filing and other pre-litigation needs.
