Job summary

We are seeking a remote translator for Cayuse Language Connect, LLC to translate a variety of documents and spoken content for agencies with language barriers. The role requires translating Education, legal, Medical, Environmental, and Social Services materials in languages such as Arabic, German, Mandarin, and more.

You will work as a 1099 Independent Contractor, with on-call opportunities and the need to maintain accuracy, cultural sensitivity, and confidentiality across diverse topics.

Qualifications

• High School/BA Degree/ or equivalent in years of experience.
• Medical Interpreting Training School or equivalent.
• Legal Translation online certifications and professional credentials.

Responsibilities

• Accurately translate spoken work situations like lectures, conversations, and meetings.
• Transcribe spoken English using technology in some settings.
• Read original documents and translate into the required language.
• Edit translated versions.
• Be sensitive to cultural contexts during translation.
