Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America is seeking an experienced Medical Director, Clinical Research (Neurology) to lead clinical development plans for neurology assets and serve as the clinical research lead for programs in this therapeutic area.

The role requires MD with board certification in neurology, epilepsy fellowship, and 1–2 years in pharma contributing to neurology strategy. Domestic and international travel of up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• MD (or international equivalent) and board certification in neurology.
• Experience in clinical development strategy in neurology.
• Fellowship training in epilepsy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical development programs in neurology from concept to execution.
• Oversee study designs, protocols, and data collection plans across global trials.
• Provide SME input for regulatory submissions and health authority interactions.
• Coordinate with CROs, medical monitors, and vendors to ensure quality and timelines.
• Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
