Job summary

Deciphera Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Medical Director, Clinical Development (Neurology) to provide clinical development leadership at the study level for one or more assets in early and/or late development. The role requires collaboration across medical, regulatory and safety teams and may include mentorship of clinical scientists.

Responsibilities include leading program strategy, serving as medical monitor, data review, study team participation, and authoring regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• Medical degree or equivalent with 8+ years combined academic/industry experience, incl. 3+ years in clinical trials.
• Experience with clinical trial design, conduct, and medical monitoring.
• Understanding of GCP/ICH and regional/regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with data review/analytics tools (Rave, J-Review, Spotfire).
• Outstanding leadership, team, presentation, and written/oral communication skills.
• Collaborative and flexible in interactions across company levels.
• Ability to work proactively with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent strategic planning, organizational and communication skills.
• Willingness to accommodate meetings across time zones; up to 30% travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical development leadership to one or more programs (75%).
• Contribute to clinical development strategy aligned with enterprise goals.
• Serve as medical monitor for studies.
• Perform ongoing clinical trial data review and cleaning with clinical science and PV teams.
• Attend and contribute to study team meetings; present findings to management.
• Author clinical portions of regulatory documents (IND, CTA, NDA, MAA or equivalent).
• Develop and manage relationships with key opinion leaders; organize Steering Committees and contribute to advisory boards.
• Contribute to manuscripts, publications or external documents; support cross-functional CI projects.
