Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America is seeking a Medical Director, Clinical Research (Neurology) to lead design and execution of clinical development plans for neurology assets. You will serve as the Clinical Research Lead, guiding study concepts, protocols, and analyses across all development stages.

You will collaborate with regulatory, safety, and biology teams to shape development strategies, oversee trials, and prepare regulatory documents.

Qualifications

• MD or international equivalent.
• Board certified or board eligible in neurology.
• Fellowship training in epilepsy required.
• Experience in pediatrics preferred.
• 1–2 years' experience in pharmaceutical industry contributing to clinical research strategy in neurology.

Responsibilities

• Leads clinical development programs for neurology assets across all stages.
• Designs study concepts and protocols for multiple development phases.
• Provides SME input for clinical development strategy in neurology.
• Oversees trial conduct with CROs, monitors, and vendors.
• Contributes to safety monitoring and pharmacovigilance collaboration.
• Prepares investigative brochures, annual reports, and regulatory submissions.
• Represents Clinical Research to internal and external stakeholders.
• Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
