Job summary

Precision AQ is seeking a Medical Director to lead content development across multiple medical communications projects for a medium-sized book of business. You will work cross-functionally with teams and clients, ensuring medical accuracy and regulatory alignment while guiding 2–4 writers and shaping strategic proposals.

The role emphasizes strong AMA style, scientific communication, and ability to translate complex concepts for managed care audiences within a remote US setting.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in life sciences; BA/BS in English with pharma/medical communications experience.
• 5–7 years of experience in medical communication/pharma/healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop strategic, high-quality, medically accurate content for multiple accounts spanning various therapeutic areas.
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet client objectives.
• Review briefs, timelines, assign staff, attend kick-off meetings.
• Ensure scientific accuracy and adherence to guidelines.
• Liaise with clients on strategy and content-related topics.
• Discuss medical content with external stakeholders as needed.
• Plan and allocate resources with internal stakeholders.
• Supervise 2–4 medical writers or scientific associates.
• Develop personal development plans and provide feedback.
• Assist in new business proposals including target product profiles.
• Attend and present at business pitches.
• Promote PRECISION Principles in daily work.
