Job summary

Pomera Care LLC is seeking a qualified Medical Director to provide clinical leadership and oversight for nursing homes and skilled nursing facilities. This part-time, remote role focuses on improving resident care, regulatory compliance, and clinical excellence across long-term care settings.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active Virginia medical license.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics preferred.
• Experience in nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, or long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical oversight and clinical guidance to nursing homes and skilled nursing facilities.
• Develop and review clinical policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
• Monitor clinical outcomes, infection control, medication management, and resident safety.
• Support compliance with CMS and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with facility administrators, nursing leadership, and attending physicians.
• Provide guidance on complex clinical matters and resident care concerns.
• Participate in facility meetings and support ongoing quality improvement efforts.
