Job summary

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active Virginia medical license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review clinical policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
• Monitor clinical outcomes, infection control, medication management, and resident safety.
• Support compliance with CMS and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with facility administrators, nursing leadership, and attending physicians.
• Provide guidance on complex clinical matters and resident care concerns.

Job description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Medical Director to provide clinical leadership, medical oversight, and guidance to nursing homes and skilled nursing facilities.

This is a part-time, remote opportunity for a physician interested in improving resident care, supporting clinical excellence, and ensuring regulatory compliance within long-term care settings.

The Medical Director will collaborate with facility administrators, nursing leadership, attending physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams to promote resident safety, improve clinical outcomes, and maintain high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide medical oversight and clinical guidance to nursing homes and skilled nursing facilities.
