Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 2 years of medical collections experience preferred.
• Experience with medical practice billing software required.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding and electronic billing.

Responsibilities

• Identify delinquent accounts, aging, and payment sources; perform collection actions with patients and payers.
• Evaluate patient financial status and establish contract payment plans.
• Stay informed on Medicare/Medicaid and third-party payer regulations; inform staff of changes.
• Reduce days in A/R and meet assigned goals.
• Handle overflow customer service calls from patients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
