Required are two years of medical collections experience, familiarity with CPT/ICD-10 coding, and strong communication skills. Proficiency in medical billing software and Microsoft Office is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; two years of medical collections experience preferred.
• Experience with medical practice billing software and CPT/ICD-10 coding is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; professional interaction with staff and patients.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly; proficient with computers.

Responsibilities

• Identify delinquent accounts and contact patients to collect payments.
• Submit claims to payers and resubmit as needed.
• Evaluate patient financial status and set up payment plans.
• Stay current on Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer regulations.
• Respond to overflow patient calls and support billing operations.
