Job summary

OHSU is seeking a professional fee coder to support the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine. You will review provider documentation in Epic, assign CPT/ICD-10-CM/HCPCS codes, and ensure accurate charge capture for professional services.

Responsibilities include resolving coding and billing issues, supporting compliance, and collaborating with physicians, billing staff, and administrators to meet productivity goals. Remote work options are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of professional fee coding experience in a hospital setting.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS and related regulations.
• Proficiency in Epic, Word and Excel.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required.
• AHIMA/AAPC certifications may be required.
• Ability to work independently and meet productivity goals.

Responsibilities

• Billing review: code professional services accurately and completely in Epic.
• Compliance support: address coding and documentation issues per guidelines.
• Billing and collection support: assist with edits and timely submission.
• Other duties as assigned.
