The ideal candidate has 2+ years in outpatient pro-fee coding, AHIMA/AAPC certification, and proficiency with Epic and MS Office. This is a remote role with strong growth potential within a fast-growing tech-enabled healthcare company.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of outpatient pro-fee medical coding experience.
• AHIMA or AAPC certification preferred.
• Experience with Epic.
• Advanced ICD-10 CM knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Abstract physician services from medical records and assign ICD-10-CM/ICD-10 codes and modifiers with high accuracy.
• Follow Official Coding Guidelines to maintain 98%+ coding accuracy.
• Provide feedback and maintain coding references for clients.
• Communicate new or revised billing and coding guidelines to providers.
• Identify and resolve documentation or system issues affecting coding and reimbursement.
