Job summary

OCHIN is hiring a Remote Outpatient Coding Specialist to work with member clinics and hospital organizations across the United States. You will ensure accurate code assignment, extract key clinical data, and help optimize reimbursement while maintaining compliance with coding guidelines.

Required CPC/CCS/CDC certification at application and experience with Epic EHR; FQHC experience is a plus. This role supports a nationwide virtual workforce and encourages professional growth.

Qualifications

• Certificate/credential required: AAPC CPC, AHIMA CCS or ADCA CDC at time of application.
• Epic EHR experience highly preferred.
• Experience with FQHCs highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate coding services for member clinics and hospitals in compliance with payer guidelines.
• Extract and interpret clinical data from records to support code assignment.
• Review and validate diagnoses and procedures to ensure complete and accurate coding.
• Support reimbursement by recommending correct code assignments for claims.
• Communicate with providers/clinical staff to obtain needed information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
