Job summary

Dutch Ridge Consulting Group, LLC is seeking a Medical Coding Auditor for a federal client. This part-time role (5–20 hours weekly) can be scheduled flexibly from Monday through Sunday.

You will audit ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding, ensuring accuracy and compliance across VA-related encounters while supporting coding staff and clinicians. Remote work with a required Tier 1/Public Trust clearance and experience with VIRR/WebVIRR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Audits of ICD-10-CM/PCS and other coding systems.
• Ensures accuracy and completeness of clinical information for reporting.
• Collaborates with coding and clinical staff on issues and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Applies knowledge of medical terminology and coding to ensure proper code selection.
• Reviews codes in ICD, CPT, HCPCS and related systems.
• Monitors regulatory and policy requirements affecting coded information.
• Assists facility staff with documentation to reflect patient care.
• Reviews and reports performance metrics for coding datasets.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
