This flexible, remote role requires 2+ years of production coding or CDI experience, US-based, with the ability to cite specific guidelines and payer policies supporting each decision, and to fit around a full-time coding schedule.

Qualifications

• Active certification from AAPC or AHIMA (CPC/COC/CIC/CRC/CCS/CCS-P/RHIT/RHIA).
• Minimum 2 years of production coding, auditing, or CDI experience in inpatient, outpatient, or professional settings.
• Based in the United States and eligible to work remotely for US clients.
• Ability to cite guidelines and payer policies for each decision.
• Flexible, project-based hours around a full-time coding schedule.

Responsibilities

• Audit AI-generated coding for ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS Level II.
• Validate E/M level selection, modifiers, MS-DRG, APC, and HCC risk.
• Identify unbundling, upcoding, undercoding, or NCCI / medical necessity gaps.
• Advise on AI-driven coding and CDI tools across care settings.
