Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Medical Coding Analyst for a 100% remote, long-term contract opportunity. The role focuses on payment determinations, dispute resolution, and detailed claims analysis, requiring CPC or CPC-A certification and strong data-driven judgment.

Ideal candidates will review CPT codes, EOBs, and supporting documents, ensuring accurate coding and reimbursement. Training is provided, with stable hours and a fully remote setup in the United States.

Qualifications

• Active CPC or CPC-A certification.
• Understanding of medical billing, coding, reimbursement, and insurance claims processes.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Experience reviewing EOBs (Explanation of Benefits).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.
• Comfortable navigating multiple systems and databases.

Responsibilities

• Review healthcare claims and supporting documentation to facilitate payment determinations.
• Analyze claim information, CPT codes, reimbursement details, and insurance documentation.
• Validate and verify claim data for accuracy and completeness.
• Research case information and apply established guidelines to make objective payment recommendations.
• Review disputes involving emergency services, ambulance services, air ambulance, and other healthcare provider claims.
• Document findings and rationale within internal case management systems.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards while managing a high-volume workload.
