Job summary

SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Clinical Analyst / Medical Coding Specialist for a remote opportunity with EST hours. You will provide clinical coding and business analysis expertise within a complex healthcare environment, supporting ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS updates while partnering with stakeholders to document requirements and drive system improvements.

Required CPC or CCS certification and 3+ years in healthcare, with travel to Columbia, South Carolina for onsite meetings at your own expense.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field.
  • Current CPC or CCS certification.
  • 3+ years of professional healthcare experience.
  • 3+ years of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding experience.
  • 3+ years of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology knowledge.
  • 3+ years of documenting business processes.
  • Strong analytical and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and review annual and quarterly ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding updates and assess business impact.
  • Prepare code-change reports and recommendations for policy and operations.
  • Research and analyze business rules, workflows, and system functionality related to coding.
  • Serve as SME on coding methodologies and Medicaid processes.
  • Maintain requirements, process docs, models, and training materials.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings and system modernization initiatives.
