Candidates should have 2+ years of physician-based coding experience, relevant certifications, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and EPIC. Telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. is possible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of physician-based coding experience.
• Certifications: CPC, CCS-P, or CPC-A.
• Experience with ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Code medical records using CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 across settings.
• Prepare and transmit claims using billing software.
• Contact providers regarding coding issues.
• Ensure codes are accurate and properly sequenced per regulations.
• Maintain productivity and comply with audits and deadlines.
