Job summary

Sprinter Health is seeking a Medical Coder to review and abstract professional medical records to ensure accurate code assignment. This full-time temporary role runs through January 31, 2027 and supports our remote care delivery model.

You'll assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers, query for clarification when needed, and maintain coding quality metrics while staying current with updates. Ideal candidates have active AAPC/AHIMA certification, 3+ years of Pro-Fee coding, and strong knowledge

Qualifications

• Active AAPC or AHIMA certification is required.
• Minimum 3 years of professional coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and meet productivity targets.

Responsibilities

• Review and abstract professional medical records for coding.
• Assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers per guidelines.
• Validate codes match documentation; query providers when clarification is needed.
• Maintain coding quality metrics and participate in audits.
• Stay current with CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS updates and CMS risk adjustment guidelines.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and compliance.
