Qualifications

• Experience coding for physicians (1-4 years preferred).
• Accurately abstracts information and assigns CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS codes.
• Meets HIPAA privacy and security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Abstracts information from service documentation and codes correctly.
• Reviews and resolves coding denials promptly.
• Completes charges sessions in work queues timely.
• Ensures documentation meets CMS Teaching Physician Rules and EM guidelines.
• Maintains compliance with payer-specific rules for Advanced Practice Providers.
