Job summary

Prosser Memorial Health is seeking a Remote Medical Coder to analyze and resolve coding issues, ensuring timely and compliant processing of clinic charges. The role covers ICD-10-CM, CPT, Modifiers and HCPCS coding across Family General Practice, Specialty, OB/GYN, and Hospital settings.

The candidate will review documentation quality, provide feedback to providers, and work remotely with minimal supervision. Two years of related experience and knowledge of Epic EHR and 3M encoder are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in related field and/or Coding certificate preferred leading to AAPC or AHIMA credentialing.
• Minimum of two years of related experience in medical billing, charge entry, revenue cycle, or coding in physician clinics, hospitals, or healthcare settings; experience with Epic EHR and 3M encoder preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve coding issues to ensure timely, compliant processing of clinic charges.
• Analyze clinical documentation to accurately capture all codeable diagnoses and assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, modifiers, and HCPCS for various clinics and hospital settings.
• Assist with Provider documentation and feedback to improve coding accuracy and workflow.
• Work remotely with independence while maintaining productivity, quality, and compliance.
