Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Professional coder certification with AHIMA and/or AAPC credentials.
• 2+ years of experience with Windows, MS Excel and EMR systems.
• 2+ years of ICD-10 and CPT coding experience.
• 2+ years of multi-specialty surgical coding.

Responsibilities

• Assign diagnostic and CPT/ICD-10 codes per documentation and guidelines.
• Code nephrology services and outpatient hospital accounts.
• Monitor work queues and ensure timely charging/coding.
• Generate coding queries for clarifications from physicians when needed.
• Stay updated on coding changes and updates.
