Job summary

RML-PH is seeking a Billing Team Lead to supervise medical billers, denials management, and AR staff in a remote setup for the PH region. You will oversee end-to-end revenue cycle tasks, monitor denials, and drive process improvements while coaching a team.

The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of US healthcare billing, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and experience with EHR systems. The role requires leadership, analytical skills, and strong communication in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of US healthcare billing practices, payer policies, and claims submission processes.
• Hands-on CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding; familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid guidelines.
• Proficient with EHR and billing systems such as Office Ally, Availity, Kareo, Prompt.
• Proficient in AR follow-up, denial management, and payment posting.
• Excellent leadership and team management with coaching/mentoring abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of medical billers and AR staff in end-to-end revenue cycle tasks.
• Audit billing output for CPT/ICD-10 code accuracy and payer guideline adherence.
• Ensure timely claim submissions and monitor outstanding AR balances.
• Investigate and resolve denials by coordinating with payers and internal teams.
• Monitor productivity, track key metrics (turnaround, denials, collections).
• Conduct regular team meetings and training on policy and payer rule changes.
• Escalate complex/delayed claims for resolution.
• Collaborate with Billing Manager to implement process improvements.
• Provide coaching and support for hiring, onboarding, and development of staff.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and prepare regular performance reports.
