Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist for a remote, nationwide role. You will review and submit claims, verify CPT/ICD-10 data, and resolve rejections to ensure timely billing and compliance.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in medical billing, familiarity with Epic/Meditech/NextGen, and strong attention to detail. HIPAA knowledge and independent work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of medical billing or revenue cycle experience.
• Knowledge of healthcare billing practices and coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS).
• Proficient in billing software and EHR systems (Epic, Meditech, NextGen).
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and process claims to ensure accurate billing to payers and patients.
• Verify billing information including CPT, ICD-10, modifiers, and demographics.
• Submit primary and secondary claims electronically or on paper as required.
• Resolve rejections and errors; follow up on delayed claims.
• Collaborate with coding, registration, and clinical teams to resolve issues.
• Generate claims and statements as dictated by scope.
• Stay current with billing regulations and HIPAA compliance.
