Gamma Surgery Center LLC in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing/Coding Specialist to join our healthcare team. You will play a vital role in the financial operations of a dynamic surgical facility where accuracy and efficiency matter.

Responsibilities include coding with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS, submitting claims to insurers, reviewing denials, posting payments, and ensuring HIPAA compliance. Flexible work-from-home options are available.

Qualifications

Experience in medical billing and coding in a surgical/outpatient setting.
Familiar with Surgical Information Systems (SIS) computer system.
Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
CPC or CCS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to procedures and diagnoses.
Submit and follow up on medical claims to insurance carriers, Medicare, and Medicaid.
Review and resolve claim denials, rejections, and underpayments in a timely manner.
Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts and reconcile billing records.
Verify patient insurance eligibility and obtain necessary pre-authorizations.
Communicate with physicians, clinical staff, and payers to resolve billing discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and coding guidelines.
