Job summary

AAPC is seeking a meticulous Medical Biller for a remote role. You will maintain monthly financial records, verify patient insurance details, and ensure timely revenue processing. You will act as a liaison among patients, providers, and insurance carriers.

Responsibilities include insurance verification, claim submissions, AR follow-up, and monthly reporting to the medical provider. Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and medical billing software is required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
HIPAA regulations & patient privacy knowledge.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong verbal and written communication.
MS Office (Excel/Word) and Google Workspace proficiency.
1–2 years medical billing experience preferred.
Experience with Epic, eClinicalWorks or similar software.
Familiarity with medical terminology.
10-key calculator proficiency.
CPB (AAPC) or CMRS (AMBA) certification.

Responsibilities

Insurance verification: confirm coverage, eligibility, and policy limits before services.
Claim submission: submit monthly basic charge-entry claims to insurers and government programs.
Accounts receivable: follow up on unpaid/denied claims and assist with resubmissions.
Monthly reporting: compile reimbursement data and share with provider via spreadsheet.
