Job summary

Housecall Providers is hiring a Medical Assistant to support homebound patients through discharge follow-ups, care coordination, and administrative tasks. You will assist clinicians with referrals, prior authorizations, and chart management while ensuring HIPAA-compliant documentation.

The role requires 3+ years in a medical setting and a Medical Assistant certification or equivalent, with the ability to work remotely in a flexible schedule and provide high-quality patient service.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of medical setting experience with medical records system.
• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology and patient care.
• Familiarity with HIPAA privacy rules.

Responsibilities

• Make outgoing calls to patients after discharge to meet regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate care, test results, referrals, and appointment changes as instructed.
• Link patients with community resources to improve quality of life.
• Assist clinicians with referrals, orders, and prior authorizations.
• Document interactions timely in the patient’s medical record.
