Job summary

Humana Healthy Horizons is seeking a Medicaid Implementation Senior Project Manager to oversee complex state Medicaid implementations from start to finish, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with a strong business focus and limited IT scope.

The role requires deep experience in managed care operations, change management, and cross-functional collaboration, with travel up to 10% and a remote US-wide work setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years working in a managed care healthcare system or health plan.
• 5+ years of Project Management experience with large size initiatives.
• 2+ years of experience in Change Management.
• Solid understanding of operations, technology, communications, and processes.
• Experience in Medicaid and/or Medicare.
• Experience in Claims Lifecycle Initiatives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, monitor, and oversee complex projects using cross functional teams to meet requirements and objectives.
• Assist in training and perform duties as the dedicated Project Manager.
• Manage full project life cycle including requirements, plans, resources, budget, and execution.
• Maintain detailed project documentation (minutes, action items, risks).
• Provide leadership and communicate project status to stakeholders and external agencies.
• Negotiate with stakeholders to identify resources, resolve issues, and mitigate risks.
• Coordinate cross-functional meetings to meet expectations and objectives.
• Provide knowledge across multiple business and technical areas.
• Monitor deliverables for quality standards (design docs, test plans, training materials).
• Provide on-site leadership to motivate team and meet milestones.
• Demonstrate problem-solving, teamwork, and excellence.
• Report on milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues to leadership.
