Job summary

Humana Healthy Horizons seeks a Medicaid Implementation Senior Project Manager to manage all project aspects from start to finish, ensuring on-time delivery within budget with limited IT scope. The role focuses on the business side of state Medicaid implementations and requires strong PM and change-management skills.

You will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate stakeholder communications, and drive quality across deliverables while working remotely across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years working in a managed care healthcare system or health plan.
• 5+ years of Project Management experience working with large size initiatives.
• 2+ years of experience in Change Management.
• Possess a solid understanding of operations, technology, communications, and processes.
• Experience working in Medicaid and/or Medicare.
• Experience in Claims Lifecycle Initiatives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, monitor, and oversee complex projects with cross-functional teams to meet requirements and objectives.
• Assist in training and perform duties as the dedicated Project Manager.
• Manages the full project lifecycle from requirements to deployment and closure.
• Maintains detailed project documentation including minutes, action items, issues, and risk plans.
• Provides leadership and communicates project status to stakeholders and external agencies.
• Negotiates with stakeholders to identify resources, resolve issues, and mitigate risks.
• Coordinates cross-functional meetings to meet stakeholder expectations and objectives.
• Provides functional and technical knowledge across multiple business areas.
• Monitors deliverables to ensure quality standards across design docs, test plans, training, and ops docs.
• Provides on-site leadership by building and motivating the team to meet goals and milestones.
• Works creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment, demonstrating teamwork and innovation.
• Provides status reports on milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues to leadership.
• Understands interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs.
• Acts as an internal quality control check and participates in issue resolution.
• Defines the Statement of Work and Specifications for Medicaid Contract/RFP.
• Sets and manages expectations while delegating deliverables to the team.
• Delivers executive-level communication.
• Ensures projects proceed according to scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Manages issues and risks to mitigate impact on baseline.
