Job summary

Dhaka Technologies Limited Company is hiring a Medicaid Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) Payment Analyst to provide technical support and analysis for a state Medicaid agency. The role covers evaluating federal policy changes, collecting hospital data, calculating DSH payments, drafting annual payment schedules, and supporting audits.

The analyst will educate participating hospitals on DSH requirements, data sources, and survey tools. Remote work with occasional on-site time may be required.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience with Medicaid DSH rules and payments.
• At least three years in Medicaid rules, State Plan methodologies, and related issues.
• Hands-on experience with Medicaid data (claims, eligibility, payments).
• Advanced Excel skills for payment models; SQL or SAS a plus for validation.

Responsibilities

• Assess DSH policy changes and advise on their impact to the State Plan.
• Support State Plan resubmissions and preparation.
• Evaluate and improve DSH payment administration and scope.
• Identify data/documentation needed to calculate DSH payments under rules.
• Draft communications to hospitals about methodology and deadlines.
• Gather and verify year-for-review data from hospitals and state; resolve discrepancies.
• Calculate DSH rates, build year-payment models, and finalize state-specific formats.
• Draft the DSH payment schedule for the upcoming fiscal year.
• Support DSH audits, respond to requests, and reconcile data.
• Educate hospitals on DSH requirements, data sources, and survey tools.
