Job summary

TeleSolv Consulting, LLC seeks an experienced DSH Analysis and Supplemental Payment Consultant to provide technical support and analytical expertise for a Government Medicaid DSH program. The consultant will assess regulatory developments, collect and validate hospital data, calculate DSH rates and payments, and support program audits.

The role requires independent analysis, clear communications with hospitals and government stakeholders, and timely delivery within deadlines.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Medicaid data and healthcare payment information.
• Deep understanding of DSH rules and related issues.
• Ability to interpret federal policy changes and court decisions.
• Experience collecting, reconciling and validating multi-source data.

Responsibilities

• Assess court decisions and federal policy changes impacting Medicaid DSH.
• Evaluate State Plan resubmissions when necessary.
• Analyze current DSH payments and suggest improvements.
• Support DSH program audits.
• Gather required data from providers and government sources.
• Review data for reasonableness and accuracy.
• Calculate DSH rates and supplemental payments.
• Develop draft DSH payment schedules for the state fiscal year.
• Discuss model results with government stakeholders and adjust as needed.
• Draft communications to hospitals about methodology and deadlines.
• Obtain government approval before outreach.
• Provide education on DSH requirements and data practices.
• Maintain project quality and deliver assignments on schedule.
